Member Purchase Experience

Viewing Available Products & Balances

  • Members access the "Products" section in their portal.

  • They see cards for all products currently marked as "Available".

  • Each card displays the product image, name, description, and price.

  • Members can see how many units of a product they have available from Membership Benefits.

  • They can also see how many units are available from Completed Purchases.

  • Any units from Pending Purchases (awaiting payment) are shown separately.

Purchasing Products

  • Members click the "Purchase" button on the product card they wish to buy.

  • A modal opens to configure the purchase details.

  • They select the desired quantity of the product.

  • Available payment methods are presented for selection.

  • Members can enter and apply discount codes if they have one.

  • A summary shows the original price, discount savings, processing fees, and final total.

  • Members confirm the purchase, which initiates payment processing (e.g., PayPal or manual).

Important Notes on Purchases

  • Purchases can originate from direct buying or as part of membership benefits.

  • The source of each product unit available to a member can be tracked.

  • Payment status (Pending, Completed, Cancelled) is tracked for each purchase.

  • Usage tracking allows marking when a purchased item or benefit item is consumed.

  • Members see their available balance decrease as items are used or consumed.

  • Manual purchase creation is useful for offline sales or adjustments.
