General Settings

The General Settings section allows you to manage fundamental aspects of your space.

Space Information

Space Name

  • Enter your space's name as it will appear throughout the platform

  • Click "Save Changes" to update your space name

Space Logo

  • Upload a custom logo that represents your brand

  • Click on the logo area to upload a new image

  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF

  • Your logo will be displayed across the platform, including your member portal

Currency and Timezone Settings

⚠️ Important: Currency and timezone are set during your initial space creation and cannot be changed directly through the dashboard. This ensures consistency in your financial records and scheduling.

Currency

  • Displays your space's operating currency

  • Used for all transactions, bookings, and financial reports

  • To change your currency, please contact our support team

Timezone

  • Shows your space's operating timezone

  • Used for all scheduling, bookings, and time-based features

  • To change your timezone, please contact our support team

Space Deactivation

The Danger Zone section at the bottom of General Settings allows you to temporarily deactivate your space when needed.

When to Deactivate Your Space

You might want to deactivate your space temporarily if:

  • You're renovating or doing maintenance work

  • You need to take a break from operations

  • You're dealing with temporary business issues

  • You want to prevent new bookings while keeping existing data

What Happens When You Deactivate

When your space is deactivated:

  • Member access is blocked: Members cannot log into their portal or access any features

  • New bookings are prevented: No new room bookings, product purchases, or membership signups

  • Existing data is preserved: All your member data, bookings, and settings remain safe

  • You can still access admin areas: You retain full access to manage your space

⚠️ Important: Deactivating your space only temporarily disables member access. This is different from canceling your subscription. To cancel your subscription entirely, visit your billing settings.

How to Deactivate Your Space

  1. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section in General Settings

  2. Click the red "Deactivate Space" button

  3. Read the warning dialog carefully

  4. Click "Deactivate Space" again to confirm

  5. Your space status will change to "Deactivated"

How to Reactivate Your Space

When you're ready to reopen your space:

  1. Contact Easy Space support via email or through your dashboard

  2. Let us know you want to reactivate your space

  3. Our team will verify your account and reactivate your space

  4. Once reactivated, all member access and features will be restored

Why we handle reactivation: We manually reactivate spaces to ensure everything is working properly and to provide support if you've been away for a while.

Deactivation vs. Subscription Cancellation

It's important to understand the difference:

  • Space Deactivation (Temporary): Blocks member access but keeps all your data safe. You remain subscribed and can reactivate anytime.

  • Subscription Cancellation (Permanent): Ends your subscription entirely. Go to billing settings if you want to cancel completely.

Choose deactivation if you plan to reopen later, and cancellation only if you're permanently closing your space.
