When creating a new membership plan, you need to choose between two main types: Time Based and Entry Based. Understanding the difference is key to setting up plans that fit your space and member needs.
Time Based Membership
Grants members access for a specific duration (e.g., 30 days, 90 days).
Typically assigned to exactly one specific desk resource. This is ideal for dedicated desk plans or memberships granting continuous access to a specific zone.
Access is continuous throughout the plan's duration, subject to the assigned desk's operating hours.
The price covers the entire duration, regardless of how often the member uses the space.
Entry Based Membership
Provides members with a specific number of entries or visits to the space (e.g., 10 entries).
Can be assigned to one or more desk resources. This allows members flexible access to different hot desk zones or areas based on availability.
Each visit or check-in consumes one entry from the member's allowance.
The plan duration (e.g., 30 days) still applies, meaning entries must be used within that period.
Suitable for flexible or part-time members who don't need continuous access.
Key Difference: The core distinction lies in the access model. Time Based offers continuous access for a set period, usually tied to a single location, while Entry Based offers a set number of visits, potentially across multiple locations within the space, within a defined timeframe. Choose the type that best reflects how you want members to access and pay for using your space resources.
