The Members App

The Members App is your members' hub. Learn what they see and can do using it.

The Members App is the dedicated online space where your members can manage their relationship with your space, access resources, view their benefits, and interact with the community. It provides a self-service interface accessible after they log in.

Member Access (Login)

Members access their app by clicking the Login button on your main space landing page. They enter their email address, and if an account exists, they are redirected directly to their personalized app dashboard.

What Members Can Do in Their App

The app is typically organized into several sections accessible via navigation (sidebar on desktop, bottom bar/menu on mobile):

Your Membership / Home page

  • This is the member's dashboard, showing their current active membership status.

  • Displays the plan name and whether it's Active, Inactive, Expired, etc.

  • Shows usage progress (entries used for Entry-Based plans, time elapsed for Time-Based plans) with a progress bar.

  • Indicates the validity period of the current membership.

Room Booking page

  • Members can browse available rooms.

  • View details like operating hours, minimum booking duration, and pricing (if applicable for credits).

  • See their available room credits (from purchases or membership benefits).

  • Select dates and book available time slots using their credits.

  • View their upcoming room bookings.

  • Check the overall room schedule.

  • Purchase additional room credits if needed.

Products page

  • View all products currently available for purchase (e.g., snacks, merchandise).

  • See the quantity of products available to them via membership benefits.

  • See the quantity of products available from their completed purchases.

  • View items from pending purchases (awaiting payment).

  • Purchase additional products.

Entries page

  • This section appears primarily for members with Entry-Based memberships.

  • View their remaining entry quota.

  • See their history of used entries.

  • Potentially book their entry for the current day if required by the space setup.

Memberships page

  • View a history of their past and present memberships.

  • See details of each membership, including start/end dates, status, and associated payments.

  • Purchase new memberships through the self-service interface.

Blocked Date Protection for Members

When members purchase Time-Based Memberships through the Members App, the system protects them from booking during desk unavailability:

  • Visual Indicators: Blocked desk dates appear with a red background and strikethrough in the membership booking calendar.

  • Smart Validation: Members cannot select a start date if ANY day within their membership period falls on a blocked date.

  • Clear Messaging: The calendar displays helpful text explaining that strikethrough dates are blocked and cannot be selected.

  • Benefit: This ensures members won't purchase memberships during periods when desks are unavailable (e.g., holidays, maintenance, special events).

For Entry-Based Memberships, members cannot book individual desk entries on blocked dates when managing their bookings in the Members App.

Note for Managers: These restrictions only apply to customer self-service in the Members App. As a manager, you can still create memberships on any dates through your dashboard to handle special cases or exceptions.

Guidelines page

  • Access important documents like Space Rules, Terms of Service, or other policies set by the space manager.

Notifications

  • Members receive updates via a notification icon/area, informing them about payment confirmations, booking changes, or important announcements.

Profile & Logout

  • Members can view their basic profile information.

  • A Logout button allows them to securely exit their app session.

  • Options to Add to Home Screen (mobile) or Bookmark (desktop) are provided for easy access.

Previewing a Member's App View

As a space manager, you can easily see what a specific member's app looks like:

  1. Navigate to the Members section in your dashboard.

  2. Click on the name of the member whose app you want to view. This takes you to their detail page.

  3. On the member detail page, locate the Members App section.

  4. Click the external link icon next to the member's app URL.

  5. This will open their specific app view in a new browser tab, allowing you to see their active membership, available credits, products, etc., exactly as they see it.
